so i have to respond to an essay in my english textbook
there’s an essay in it about how there’s no strong female characters in harry potter and the author is like “how can you blame harry and ron for being annoyed by hermione - she has her nose in a book at all times and she’s no fun etc etc etc.”
and the author talks about how brains only go so far and brought up how harry and ron had to save her from the troll in the first book when they were 11
ok i don’t have to point out the problem with that sentence b/c SERIOUSLY
anyway the author was like “i love HP just as much as the next person but is that love enough to completely ignore all of the things that were left out?”
and basically my response to that is going to be “the only thing that is left out is this bitch’s ideals of a strong female”
tl;dr - hermione rules and that author drools
